Today is Wednesday October 11, 2017, and I recently went on to Facebook to share something with my executive assistant, and I was unable to pull up the Facebook page I wanted her to see. I immediately went from my desktop computer to my laptop to see if it was a platform issue. Then I still could not pull the Facebook page up from my laptop, and then I turned to GOOGLE.
I went to GOOGLE and put in the phrase, “Is Facebook down”, and to my surprise I saw a post from many media sites that had been posted merely 2 minutes ago stating that millions are without FACEBOOK and are PANICKING. I was puzzled by that headline, because I was not panicked. Nope. I was not.

Fortunately, I did not panic. I did not panic because my business visibility is still going strong. I have a multi-channel approach which reduces the risk of my lead generation activities from ever stopping 100%. My research has taught me that the best marketers in the world have a document strategy utilizing 14+ channels to promote their business value proposition. The most successful marketers typically have a website, an email list, YouTube Channel, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram…you get the idea. My experience has shown me that my clients and my client’s clients touch multiple marketing channels before a purchase. In fact, I counted the channels my newest client touched my business from and it was at least 3. Wow!
My experience has shown me using one channel is not wise, and on today, October 11, 2017 if you are relying ONLY on Facebook it can be disastrous.
